Last edition of Beats of Love took place at a new location, the beautiful new complex of De Kreun in Kortrijk. Definitely a nice change of scenery!
Local heroes Hector & Nate warmed up the place with new electro house grooves while people gradually started to fill the room.
Beats of Love resident Spacid stepped it up with a varied electro set in his typical uplifting and scratchy style.
Mixhell took over and opened with their massive hit ’We Love Animals’, which caused quite an earthquake. The atmosphere was electric!
Their set was a dancefloor-friendly trip with Iggor drumming live. This brought the set to another level and added something visual to the performance.
Ed & Kim played the closing set and seduced the crowd with a more special selection of electro tracks.

Don't miss out on this special edition of Beats of love at the concert hall De Kreun in Kortrijk. We present all the way from Brasil, Mixhell, composed of the former Sepultura drummer and his wife. They will unleash a new concept onto the dancing crowds of Europe. It's a DJ project with an extraordinary live element. Iggor and Laima have now incorporated an MPC Sampler into their DJ Sets, and on top of that Iggor will play live drums during this unique set, never seen before in Belgium. But our Belgian dj's are certainly not to be understimated. Expect a solid and intense after-exams party!

Last Beats of Love edition was definitely a fun one, although some people preferred to enjoy the beautiful weather instead of sweating on the dancefloor. But as always, if you weren’t there, you missed out ..
Warm-up act electro guru Spacid opened the dance with a nice blend of ghettotek, baile funk, electro and fidget. He delivered a playful set with vocals and scratching, perfect to warm up those legs!
Then the first headliner, Beataucue took over the controls. This French duo has been making quite a fuzz with their solid flow of remixes. They began their set with their remix of Major Lazer’s Pon de Floor, which instantly set the tone for the rest of their performance. They played a bleep-heavy, electrifying party set.
They were follwed by the man everyone was waiting for, Fake Blood! His set consisted mostly of his own remixes and many unknown dancefloor gems. A solid underground set until he dropped his recent hit I Think I Like It which put the dancefloor on fire!
The closing act, Static & Greedy, a duo act from Gent, played a fierce energetic set of somewhat harder electro tunes. Perfect to make the people go crazy one last time!
All in all a musically satisfying edition of Beats of Love!

Basically your job is to visit lots of parties during the weekends where you promote (flyers and posters) our events such as Star Warz, Beats of Love, Retro Acid, Kozzmozz and more with posters and flyers. We are looking for an enthusiastic and outgoing person with a love for the nightlife and a responsible and positive attitude. You’re expected to have a car and must be willing to go out and drive to parties all over Belgium, at least one night per weekend and this almost every weekend of the year. You will get paid (per hour) and your expenses are reimbursed. You think you are up for the job?

You can order online 24 hours per day, 7 days per week with credit-card or by bank transfer ( till 10 days before the event). The tickets will arrive at your door within 5 days or be ready for you at the event when ordered last minute. Anyone who celebrated New Year’s Eve at Beats of Love can tell you that we started 2010 with a bang! Every shade of electro was being pumped into your brains, preparing you for a new year of pounding electro madness! Ed & Kim bombarded the crowd with hard rave sounds while Duke Dumont clearly showed what he’s made of. Spacid spun a more eclectic groove electro making all the hands go up in the air and Soda & Suds finished everyone off with a blast. In room 2, Capt. Luke played a rough and grinding set while Mr. Magnetic represented Dr. Lektroluv’s label and put the room on fire. Lee Mortimer, Ministry of Sound resident, treated us with fat electro basslines, dubstep-influenced and fidget house beats. Geht’s Noch made a great performance and left us wanting for more. Room 3 was very intimate but with an exhilarating atmosphere. Acts like Compuphonic, Pete Howl and Cole brought the crowd from one peak to another, a great trip into progressive electro. If you weren’t there, you missed it!

Unfortunately, as is the faith of more and more record stores these days, Music Man in Ghent had to close it's doors . for good .. we hope not but it looks like it. This means that you can no longer get pre-sale tickets for Kozzmozz or Beats of Love in the Steendam shop. We urge you to get your tickets at Fnac or in the Vooruit and regret to see this legendary record store disappear. We've all been there at one time or another in their 20 years of existence and will miss going there for vinyl, cd's, material and tickets. We wish them all the best.

Boysnoize Records made a wild party! Candy and electro beats welcomed you when entering the Vooruit on Saturday. Spacid was warming up the room and building up the tempo while you were getting in the mood, the first enthusiastic explosions followed. When Housemeister took over the decks, he brought us his technical skills and played an educative electro set spiced with some booty bass and techno influences.
A few bombs were dropped here and there.
Djedjotronic took things to an even higher level with more minimal orientated but still very energetic electro and the atmosphere also reached a new level. By the time D.I.M. got up to do his thing, the dance-floor became too small and there was no holding you back .. or him for that matter. He even invited one of the guys from Les Petits Pilous, who just came for a visit, on stage to bring some of his own work.
The vibes became wild and mental as did the music and it was an ecstatic party. And that party lasted till the very last bit of Sound of Stereo’s set who delivered us dance-floor bomb after bomb, just the way we like it.

We know you like your music loud and so do we. But we don’t want you to become deaf because of it. ’Protect your ears and enjoy music for the rest of your life’ is our motto and we hope it will become yours too. That’s why you can now find dispensers in the Vooruit venue with high quality and re-usable earplugs that are comfortable to wear and lower the volume with about 22 decibels. On top of it, they only cost 2 Euro, well actually only 1 Euro because Vooruit found two partners in this quest to sensitize young people and Bond Moyson Oost-Vlaanderen is paying half. Over the last months, the electronic suspense was seriously raised with a teaser website, a campaign on TMF and a number of much-talked-about events, including Deaf Disco and an own club at Rock Werchter. At the beginning of September, the time will finally have come for the interactive website www.redbullelektropedia.be to be officially launched online.
To celebrate the launch of the final website, This Beat Is Elektronic will be hosted on Saturday 19 September, a large party in the Vooruit with a long line-up of legendary Belgian deejays and musicians ? from the past to present. All have played an important role in the history and development of the electronic music scene in Belgium.

The place where it all began with a first and smashing edition with Dr. Lektroluv. Since then Beats of Love has become one of Belgium’s most popular electro events and they continue to build on this reputation.

Cook-E & Matik playing at Beats of Love is nothing new. They built up the atmosphere skillfully and got the party started right, a cosy and intimate atmosphere on Beats of Love this time. When Philippe Zdar from Cassius took on the decks, the crowd definitely rose to the call of his beats. He played a lot of current electro hits and fine classics mixed with some mysterious tunes we would all like to know about. His set proved clearly that he’s one of the originators of today’s new electro sound.
Popof played a solid electro techno set that got everybody dancing like crazy. It definitely didn’t stop there because Spacid took over and played a more ravey set with lots of old hits in a new jacket and plenty of twisted beats.
We hope you enjoyed this edition as much as we did.

| One of the best editions of Beats of Love ever and that means a lot because we’ve already had quite a few great ones. Ed & Kim set the pace for the night. Ravey electro with a hint of the past and an eye on the future. We were treated to two full blown live-acts. First, Autokratz who played the very last live performance for their ’Down & Out in London & Paris’ album ever. They had just finished their new album and brought a few new tracks next to their well known hits. They gave it their all and the infectious vibe rolled over to the crowd. The perfect setting for The Subs who played a home-match to their die hard fans. And also they entertained and put a lot of energy in their live performance. All were dancing, screaming and waving, both artists, crew and public. And that didn’t stop when young Parisian Bobmo took over and played the famous French electro sound with Chicago touch. An atmosphere that was prolonged by Spacid brought out his ravey side with old time classics in a new coat and contemporary electro of today. On Saturday, February 21st Beats of Love brings you their biggest line-up so far! This time we’re going for a ravey electro night so fasten your seatbelts! First up are Autokratz Live, they performed on Pukkelpop and Dour as well as opening up for Underworld and brought us the mini-album ’Down & out in Paris and London’ last summer. They are joined by the Belgian electro success story The Subs Live who are scoring big with their ’Subculture’ album. But there’s more .. also Bobmo will bring a storming set. This 17-year old is from Paris and part of the new French scène. Resident Spacid and Ed&Kim complete this heart-slamming line-up ! |

NYE 2008: what a blast!

As was to be expected the Vooruit filled up quickly and by the magic hour most people gathered in the Ballroom where under a rain of glitters and hearts, the start of the New Year was celebrated with lots of kisses and hugs.
Ultravid had no trouble setting the room on fire while Pitch&Hold nicely warmed up in the Café. In the third room our young talent Ken Dust learned first hand how it felt to play in front of an audience. When Spacid took over in the Ballroom he played a sound that reminded us of The Crookers with a hint of fidget house. In the Café Thomas Anderson played some of his famous electro hits live and the crowd loved it, singing along where they could. A perfect mood for Pete Howl to take over with electro house whilst upstairs the stars of the night, Les Petits Pilous brought on the famous Boys Noize sound resulting in very energetic and enthousiastic reactions from the crowd. Those who needed a break, listened to the more minimalistic sounds of DJ Dan while Fred Nasen continued the electro house vibe in the Café and Sound of Stereo combined the Boys Noize sound with some more fidget house upstairs. For the end, everybody gathered in the Café where DJ Cole treated us to the last electro sounds of the first day of 2009!

We warned you a couple of days ago and we were not joking … our New Years eve party, Beats of Love is now completely sold out … So please do not come to the venue without tickets as we will not be selling any tickets at the door.
If you weren’t able to get tickets this time, make sure you’re on time for the next edition on Saturday, February 21st. Our guests that night are Autokratz from London who released their mini-album ’Down & Out in London and Paris’ on Kitsuné in Paris this summer. Another year gone by, another year of great parties & lots of beats, more than enough reason to celebrate big time! That’s why we’re welcoming you in no less than 3 rooms ! Three rooms of all forms of contemporary electro sounds with in the Ballroom, the revelation of last year, Les Petits Pilous, just in their early twenties they have released for Boysnoize Records and remixed for Tiga & Ed Banger. They will be joined by Ultravid, Spacid and Sound of Stereo who will have just released their 2nd EP on Lektroluv Records.
In the café Tomas Andersson is our main guest. He’s made a name for himself with many releases on Ellen Alien’s BPitch Control label. He’s also a big fan of Pitch & Hold from Ghent and Love Triangle Music who will be joining him, as well as Fred nasen from Dogtown Records and Pete Howl from You Lucky Bitch.
In the third room DJ Dan from Liège will take control over the decks with the support of Cole and a Young Talent. And of course, extra NYE features as lounge bar, glitters and bubbles ! |

The last edition was one of the best ones ever .. even if we are saying it ourselves ;-)
Sigi built up a nice atmosphere with a fine selection of electro. After him Alex Gopher took over in his well known French style with a rough rock ’n roll edge here and there. It did the trick because all hands went up in the air and stayed there! Dr. Lektroluv came, saw and cured us all. The Dr. does it, time after time! After that it was Spacid’s turn and he delivered a bomb of a set. Hard electro sounds with here and there a hit. And technically of the highest level as we’re used to from him, he closed off the party with a full room and our ’Beats of love’ anthem!

No less than two big stars on this next Beats of Love. First up is Dr. Lektroluv, who’s new live mix from Pukkelpop this summer, has just been released. Second head-liner is Alex Gopher who we also know as Superdiscount ( with Etienne de Crécy ) and his collaborations with Air. But he’s also a big star on his own as he proofed his album ‘Alex Gopher’ and the many singles and remixes that made it into the charts. They will be joined by Sigi from Boa and our resident Spacid. |

This summer , on August 16th, you can find Beats of Love on Sunset in the Casino in Ostend where our Beats will be even hotter and bolder as we join forces with ID-T and La Nuit.
We have invited Zombie Nation who created one of thé anthems of the dance generation with Kraftwerk 400 and is making his forth album as we speak. He will be joined by our resident Spacid who really smashed up the room on this last edition, Maxim Lany from the famous Fuck Lany & You lucky Bitch parties and Ed & Kim from Studio Brussels and Breakdown. The guest is the other room is no one less than Armand van Helden. Let the beats flow the whole weekend and stay in a hotel in Ostend !

A big thank you to all those who joined us on our latest Love party.
You were a bit less numerous than usual but that left more room and air for those who wanted to party and so you did !
The revelation of the night was Mason who had the room booming throughout his whole set, a vibe easily continued by DJ Spacid and Geht’s Noch ! In the Café there was also a very nice atmosphere although the sound could have been a bit louder ( thanks to the person sending in complaints and the police to us for this !). Fred Nasen, Soul Phonic and Marc Romboy didn’t let it ruin their sets though and those who were there, heard great music with a lot of emotion ! Monica Electronica finished off the night in style !

For a change of scenery and vibe, we are welcoming you in the Café and Ballroom of Vooruit. More intimate rooms for that special club vibe that you won’t find on the massive festivals but with international names that have festival status.

Beats of Love returns to the Ballroom and Café ( just like on New Years eve ) for a especially cosy and loving club-vibe with two different electro sounds.
The main guest in the Ballroom will be Mason from Great Stuff Recordings and Electronation in Amsterdam. He’s accompanied by great Belgian talents as Cook-E and Matic from Switch and resident Spacid. Upcoming talents Geht’s Noch will join them !
In the café Marc Romboy from Systematic Records will do the honors and Beats of Love is part of the worldwide promotion tour for his new ’Contrast’ album. He shares the room with Monica Electronica, Fred Nasen and Soul Phonic.

What a night … full of love !
The heat was definitely on on Beats of Love and the vibe was steaming.
Cosy Mozzy warmed us up nicely for the main course with main-act Tocadisco. He brought a great set as well as great company. Motor took it up a notch and delivered a full on electro-techno set after which Spacid played his electro tracks of the moment.
It all ended with lots of kissing and loving. Here’s some pictures to relive the vibe ! |

Each year the Red Bull Music Academy stimulates musical talent by gathering the selected ones in one city and event with famous guest-speakers, studio-equipment and facilities.
This year’s city is Barcelona and the event takes place at the end of September and October. Some of the guests: A-trak & Mehdi, Carl Craig, Benga, DJ Premier & Tony Allen.

We made you wait a bit after our extravaganza on New Years, but don’t worry :
Beats of Love is back and it will be more than worth the wait because we have another special edition in store for you on Saturday, April 19th.
The Vooruit will be emerged in that special atmosphere again and will be booming with electro sounds.
Our main act is no-one less than Tocadisco who’s ruling the Belgian radio-waves with two hits at the moment : his own track ’Morundi’ and his remix of Nicolette’s ’No Government’. And that’s not the only remix he’s famous for as he had his hands on loads of big stars their tracks : Pet Shop Boys, New Order, Mylo, Tiga, ...and the list goes on. On Top of that this ’King of the remixes’ has also just released his first album ’Solo’.

In the ballroom our main act is Kiko from leading labels as Anthony Rother’s Data Punk, Tiga’s Turbo label and Oxia & The Hackers Goodlife. After the mega hit ‘World Cup’, he brings you a full album on Different Recordings and a first track ‘Alone in the Dark’ is out now ! Studio Brussels Switch residents Ed & Kim and Cook-E & Matic will join him as well as our resident Spacid. The Café will be taken over by one of Get Physicals biggest revelations of this year : Djuma Soundsystem. Their track ‘Les Djinns’ is the most sold record ever on Beatport. More electro house sounds will be served by Jens Holmes from Decadance, Fred Nasen from Dogtown Records and Yves Bash from Warm FM. Our first Beats of Love party in Gent proved as successful as the first edition in Ostend.
The Vooruit was completely filled with electro lovers who got warmed up by DJ Prinz and danced away to the loving beats of Tiefschwarz who performed a 2.30 hour set ! Spacid took over the turntables with more fat and thriving bass-lines and The Subs made the room explode. How else could they end the party then with the original ‘Beats of Love’ track from Nacht und Nebel. It still rings in our hearts.
Hopefully also in yours as we would love to see you all again on our next edition on New Years eve. Until then, enjoy the Beats of Love pics ! |

Far from it. Some presale places have sold all their tickets, but we'll
provide all sold out presales places with new tickets again asap. Fnac for
instance still has some tickets in stock.
We still expect a lot of tickets to be sold at the entrance, but if you do
have a presale ticket, make sure you come early.

This event is part of Tiefschwarz current 10th anniversary tour that takes them all over the world and on all big festivals.
After mix-albums for Fabric and Time Warp, they now present the first double compilation “Black Musik” on their own label Souvenir. The first cd contains their favorite tracks of the last ten years, the second their best tracks remixed by friends and beloved producers. As that wasn’t enough, they also dug into the catalogue of Strictly Rhythm to present a “Strictly Tiefschwarz” compilation on which you can also find their remix of the all-time classic “Rise from the Grave” from Phuture.
Tiefschwarz are currently residents at some of the coolest clubs on earth as Space, Ibiza ; Robert Jonson in Frankfurt and Weekend club in Berlin.
They are also known for some very high profile remixes for names as Madonna, Depeche Mode, Roxy Music, DJ Hell and many, many others … and now they will join us for some serious Love Beats! |
